Job boards are a portal for recruitment agencies and companies to advertise their vacancies to the public. Companies or recruitment agencies post a job onto the job board which then allows prospective candidates to apply for the position. The majority of job boards are now on-line which makes it a more fast and reliable way of reaching out to the ideal candidate to fill the vacancy. Candidates can search job boards in many different ways such as by location of the job, the job sector, the job salary or the job title.
There are also sector specific job boards which will only advertise jobs in these fields of work, e.g. IT job boards; secretarial job boards; hotel and catering job boards; scientific and technical job boards; legal job boards - to name just a few.
To apply for jobs on job boards, the candidate registers with the job boards filling out all of their details and then uploads their current CV. The candidate is then able to write a covering letter on the job boards portal which is then emailed to the company advertising the job on the job boards.
RAN Jobs have recently launched their new and exciting job board which takes a fresh look at how jobs are advertised on job boards. The job boards created by RAN Jobs brings together various recruitment agencies who advertise their current vacancies on the portal.
