Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living helping to recruit disabled people within the IT sector. Our client IT Solutions, is actively recruiting for disabled people to work on a contract based on 35 hours a week. Number of vacancies available: 2 Salary: œ12 (pro ? rata until September 09) Job Title PC Data Migration Engineer Job Description Moving between 100 sites (working mainly within 4 sites) in NHS Lanarkshire. You will carry out the following tasks as part of team of 2 ? 4 people: migrate data stored on a local hard disk to a network share; follow script to ensure that user can only save information on network share; take user through the changes to how they work; report issues to team leader; 7.5 hours per day 9 to 5:30pm. Initial work programme You will: be given a brief overview of the project; taken through relevant staff guidelines; given a user account and photographic ID badge; taken through the migration script and process of migrating each machine by shadowing a team member ? then you will be shadowed for 1-2 days until able to carry out your tasks; Objective is to migrate 5 ? 7 machines on average per day. Technical essential skills required Windows XP Professional Windows 2000 Professional Office XP Professional Office 2000 Professional Personal essential skills required Good Communicator Ability to recognise and report issues to team leader Smart Dress Friendly Co-operative Other Essential criteria Able to get to and from specified sites being worked on each day.
