Standard Life now want to build an in house capability to develop and analyse these metrics to understand the effectiveness of our people strategy and to give business managers data and analysis that helps them to achieve their business goals.
This is a critical and important addition to the HR function.
• A key challenge of this job will be to raise the profile of HCM and the use of people metrics to add value to the business. This will involve working at all levels of the organisation, including the executive.
• Setting and driving the HCM & MI agenda for the group across a wide range of data sources with clearly set definitions and consistent calculations. The job holder will be responsible for allocating ownership and negotiating targets for lead metrics and KPI’s
• Interpreting government direction on HCM matter and give guidance to HR and the business on a recommended approach
• Converting raw data into compelling views of people and associated issues but with a practical business importance and application.
• A team will need to be formed in support of this agenda along with the development of appropriate IT systems to mine and analyse data.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
• Senior/lead HCM/MI experience in an organization recognised as progressive in this field. They will be experienced in the set up of this type of function.
• Degree educated.
• High level analytical capability and the ability to deliver data driven cases and value for the business.
• Extensive experience of supply forecasting
• Have gravitas and an ability to influence at executive level and across corporate boundaries.
• Great communicator, ability to simplify complex issues and get agreement to specific actions.
• Ability to cut to the key issues and use data in creating persuasive arguments.
