YOUR EMPLOYER

An opportunity has arisen within a major international company for an internal auditor within their regional office just outside of Brussels.

YOUR ROLE

• Carry out audit assignments with a primarily Finance & Commercial content in the Europe & EEMEA region.
• Evaluate business processes
• Review internal controls standards and compliance with all appropriate company standards, policy and procedures, highlighting areas of non-compliance and documenting gaps for resolution
• Track trends of audit results and highlight patterns of risks and issues
• Present findings in a clear and risk-oriented way, in meetings with management and audit reports
• Identify and share 'best practices' in the network
• Undertake periodic special assignments
• Work closely with other members of the Europe & EEMEA audit team and co-operate on joint assignments.
• Lead audits and, where appropriate, any audit team members in any given audit.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

• University (Business) degree calibre
• Minimum 3 years work experience, preferably within the audit profession

Essential:
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Excellent verbal communication, with ability to explain technical issues to non-specialists
• Personable, and able to work effectively within a team
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• High degree of personal responsibility
• Very good communication and negotiation skills
• Interest in other cultures and high degree of integrity
• Willingness to travel 60%+

Preferred
• Big Four auditing/consulting experience and/or Logistics business experience
• Knowledge of audit principles, methods and processes
• Hands-on experience of financial accounting and reporting
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
• Knowledge of internal audit standards (CIA certification)
• Fluency in languages other than English
• Experience in leading small teams
