Job Description
They are looking for a German speaking Senior Financial Accountant and you will be responsible for management of the General Accounting Function and ensuring a smooth transition with a view to continuous improvement and compliance in a fast paced changing environment. You are able to provide a first-rate, very efficient and focused finance team ensuring accuracy and control meeting reporting deadlines in support of country requirements.
Responsibilities
• You will managing and developing team members through training, coaching, performance management, goal-setting and effective feedback to ensure that all team members are aware of how they are performing and receive the appropriate guidance and development to help them improve performance and conduct tasks effectively.
• Providing clear direction and support in relation to all day to day finance activities to ensure clarity of understanding and financial awareness among all employees.
• Reviewing and evaluating current functions, processes and systems in order to identify areas requiring.
• Day-to-day financial expenditure approval in the form of A/P holds, employee expenses to ensure business costs are monitored an reviewed against agreed Business Plan
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports in line with the in-country Accounting Manager to provide accurate Financial reporting for management information and in accordance with GAAP
• Preparing all supporting documentation and information requests need by external auditors in the filing of the annual financial statements
• Analysing and reviewing of all P&L accounts as part of the month end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis review
• Conducting interviews for internal and external recruitment as need so that optimum staffing is maintained and staff development and progression can be facilitated.
Candidate Specification
Specification
• Finalist in Professional Body (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ACA).
• People management experience, ideally around 2 years.
• Minimum of 3 years working in a financial environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• German is essential.
• Proactive, enthusiastic attitude to work and committed to continuous process improvement.
• Good working knowledge of Oracle/ SAP MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint essential.
