My client, a well-known and global company, is urgently looking for an Internal Audit Manager, on a permanent basis, to join their highly trained and motivated Global Internal Audit team. The position requires a high volume of travel, you will be based out of their head office near Nuremburg and you will be reporting directly to the Head of Audit. The company in question strives to be a global leader in their industry.
Job Description
You will have considerable influence in improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and processes in the sales subsidiaries. The position is a very exciting entry point and offering the possibility of a steep leaning curve and leading to an International career in finance, operations or general management. You will work closely with Senior Level Management, providing assurance and consulting services and advising on practical solutions for improved business processes.

• Develop a risk-based, annual audit for all activities for my client in Europe.
•Organise and execute individuals audits in accordance with the audit plan and with reference to the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing of the IAA
• Complete around 15-20 individual audits over a 3 year audit cycle. Each audit typically covers key operational processes in the audited organisations such as wholesale and own retail, customer services, credit and collections, purchasing and sourcing, warehousing and inventory management, accounting, HR and payroll and IT.
• Evaluation of governance practices, amongst other including authorisations, management reviews, policies and procedures, compliance with IFRS accounting standards and planning and reporting procedures.
• Write audit reports for distribution to the Executive board.
• Supervise audit staff in the execution of audit responsibilities.

Candidate Specification
Education/Experience
• Business acumen, interpersonal savvy and strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Highly results-driven team player with compassion, integrity, trust and perseverance.
• Compelling development potential with ambition to build an International career.
• Business education with University Degree.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or international equivalent (CPA, ACA etc).
• Good oral and written English skills.
• German is preferred but not required.
• High level of mobility across Europe to cope with high travel activity.
