Head of Project Support

Job Description
An exciting senior position, the successful individual will be responsible for managing the Project Support team to ensure effective delivery of an ongoing programme of change projects. These projects primarily relate to changes in or involving the Investment Administration IT systems or those of the clients. These can include systems upgrades, new system implementations, client interface projects, the implementation of market changes and much more. A wide range of projects will be underway at any point in time. The job-holder will have responsibility for overseeing the relationships with IT, software vendors, internal departments and senior client contacts in support of project and programme delivery. The role also involves representing our technical and project deliver capability in the sales process and as part of ongoing client service. It also involves contributing actively to the wider strategic direction and support of strategic development projects.

The job holder will manage a team of around 8 project managers and project support analysts, expanding as business needs arise.

Requirements

o An in-depth knowledge of the Investment Administration business is essential
o A strong understanding of the IT systems needed to support an Investment Administration business
o Good analytical skills
o Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple streams of activity concurrently
o An ability to manage relationships with IT , software vendors and client technical contacts at a senior level
o Proven staff management and resource planning ability
o Strong written and verbal communication skills including the confidence to present to clients.
o Ability to work constructively in a team and build relationships at senior management level
o Proactive approach to change and service improvement
