Senior Operations Manager

Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Manager to mange the Shared Services Department in a Global Investment Organisation. The successful individual will ensure all input processes to the valuation are accurate and complete: Asset Standing Data, Market Prices, Trades, Corporate Actions, Settlements/Treasury


Key Responsibilities will include

· Manage a varied department with several key teams
· Set up assets on Multifonds
· Collect market prices for assets
· Enter trades to Multifonds
· Apply corporate actions to funds
· Pay cash in settlement
· Keep and prepare management information
· Manage teams to create an effective and efficient unit
· Support group initiatives to create centres of excellence in EMEA or elsewhere
· Develop, design and enhance business processes to provide scalability, effectiveness and efficiency


The successful individual will have the opportunity to create a core operating function to support a growing operation. There is considerable scope to shape the business and participate in centres of excellence. This is an ideal opportunity to grow and develop both people and operational management skills.


Experience:
· Managing groups of 30 or more staff
· Familiarity with two or more of Asset Set Up, Pricing Assets, Trade Capture, Corporate Actions, Settlements
· Experience of process improvement
· Strong control experience
· Experience of offshoring, or centres of excellence, either using or creating
· Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications, in particular MS Excel at intermediate to advanced level

Qualifications:
· Desirable but not essential - Relevant Securities Institute certificates
