Senior Regulatory Risk Manager

Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Risk Manager. Focusing primarily on the United Kingdom, the role holder will provide accurate and comprehensive technical advice and training on current and emerging regulations and risks relating to this dynamic and complex fund management company, to colleagues in the division and the whole business at all levels.

Responsibilities

· To work with the Legal and Risk Teams to provide appropriate regulatory and technical advice to projects (including new products) when required
· To provide guidance to the business on issues arising, disseminating changes to regulations or best practice primarily in respect of UK Regulatory Requirements, but on broader issues as appropriate
· To sit on business committees or product groups as required by the Global Head of Regulatory Risk and provide guidance on the items under discussion and strategies proposed
· To keep abreast of industry issues and disseminate accurate and targeted information to the wider team and the business as a whole
· To deliver agreed regulatory or technical training to the wider team and the business on an ongoing basis, as appropriate
· To answer regulatory and technical queries as required by the business or other teams within the division
· To provide technical guidance on existing rules and regulations and industry best practice
· To provide technical or regulatory guidance on data protection requirements, fraud or anti-money laundering as required and to work with the other risk teams to ensure appropriate structures are in place

Required Experience

· Specialised and detailed knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements in respect of UK Regulations relating to Fund Management
· The ability to review and interpret regulations that impact on how an asset management company should operate and to disseminate effectively to the business
· An In-depth understanding of the Asset Management environment is essential
· Broader experience of derivatives and complex products would be advantageous
