ASA’s client, a leading bank, has an excellent opening for a Senior Manger- Insurance/Actuarial Risk.

Do you want to become part of the Financial Risk Management team within Insurance & Investments Risk Management and be responsible for developing and managing the financial and actuarial risk oversight of the companies’ general insurance business?

In this role key accountabilities will include:
· Managing the development, implementation and maintenance of the General Insurance oversight strategy and framework to fulfil the responsibilities of the Risk Management function.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with peers to ensure adequate Management of th I&I Financial Risk Oversight relationship.
· Working with the Actuarial Division to identify the key actuarial and investment risks ensuring these are captured and being effectively monitored
· Reviewing and challenging the existing and proposed actuarial models.
· Reviewing and challenging existing actuarial risk initiatives ensuring they are in line with business risk policies
· Providing actuarial and investment risk input to key corporate projects / changes and assess the overall impact of these on the I&I Division.
· Proactively advising, challenging and influencing I&I Division units to ensure their responsibilities within the framework are being adequately addressed.

The successful candidate will be a FULLY QUALIFIED ACTUIARY, have sound knowledge of financial reporting, discipline and practices as well as been an apt communicator with the ability to challenge existing processes.
