ASA Recruitment's client, a prestigious International Oilfield Service Company is currently looking for a Global Commercial Manager to join their team.

Role

To co-ordinate the commercial evaluation of Well Screen Technology products and services with regional and manufacturing personnel to maintain market strength, viability, and continued growth of our global business.
To identify and develop support mechanisms that improves the interactions of the WST (Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development) with regional and external customers.
Strategic evaluation of growth opportunities (organic or through acquisition) in unexploited areas.
Evaluate new technologies for specific applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic evaluation of growth opportunities .
New technology market research.
Develop and monitor combined WST Prospect tracking tool.
Create tender evaluation guidelines with special emphasis on escalation clauses relating to component costs.
Ensure WST compliance with QMS.
Ensure compliance with corporate approval guidelines (GoA) for quotes, tenders, orders, etc..
Develop and control pricing strategy and policy; including Standard Price Book and client specific Price Books.
Advise regions on minimum selling prices on new to market and non-standard products.
Assist in evaluation of prospective acquisitions.
Assist in defining new product development and review of associated business plans.
Collation and review of regional forecasting information.
Regular visits to region centres

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
Degree level qualification in a Science, Engineering or Business discipline.
Preferred:
Masters level qualification in a Science, Engineering or Business discipline.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Essential:
Extensive industry experience in a technical, engineering and/or commercial role.
Preferred:
Extensive industry experience in a technical, engineering and/or commercial role.
Commercial experience as a provider of and as a customer for oilfield products and services.
Experience in product development and application of new technology.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
Critical understanding of client’s needs.
Knowledge of drilling/completion/production operations.
Supervisory and communication skills, along with an ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources, and the ability to plan, control and take responsibility for own work.
Demonstrate responsibility for managing budgets.
Proven process problem solving ability.
Computer-literacy.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of Well Screen Technologies product offering.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Essential:
Proven leadership and assertiveness skills, sufficient to lead and motivate a small team.
Must have good organisational skills.
