ASA's major client has a new requirement for a Survey Manager within their Survey Department
Staff
Salary Negotiable dependent on experience, circa £70-75,000.00 per annum + market bonuses
Main duties:
- Management of Survey department, including all offshore Survey personnel (staff and contract, average 60 contractors and 12 staff) and all onshore Survey personnel (approx. 20, staff and contract). Management of survey support to projects, from tender through award to project completion and deliverables, ensuring support is cost effective and reliable.
- Management of survey resources through internal supply and through sub-contracts and frame agreements.
- Liaison companies regarding survey requirements and solutions.
- Development of new survey solutions.
- Monitor new technology in industry.
- Working with recruitment on all Survey issues and new hires.
Experience required:
Extensive experience of offshore Subsea industry and survey methods, particularly as applied to offshore construction (Subsea). Previous experience in Online Surveying, Survey Engineering, preferred knowledge of Sonardyne Fusion LBL systems, EIVA NaviScan & NaviPac. Data processing systems include NaviEdit, NaviPilot, NaviModel, AutoCad, VisualWorks, VisualEdit, VisualArchive. It would be beneficial if the candidate had experience in these systems in order to effectively manage the department. Other systems that they sometimes use are - Kongsberg HAIN & Navlab, TSS 440, Reson 8128/8125, Dual Head Scanning, Sonars and various Bathy & Altimeter systems.
Essential qualifications:
Degree or similar qualification in a Hydrographic survey related topic, or equivalent.
