Traditional crafts jobs are normally considered to be those that use few, if any, mechanical or electrical devices to manufacture an end result. There is a current renewed interest in traditional crafts and countryside skills. Traditional crafts give opportunities in pottery, stained glass and wrought-iron work. Traditional crafts can also offer many other avenues for those keen to study and practice practical skills in country-house gardening, basketry, and woodland crafts such as basket weaving, pole-lathe turning, besom and rake making.
