GCIL Employment Link Services

The GCIL Employment Link Services is a unique new initiative for the Greater Glasgow area which specialises in meeting the recruitment and employment needs of both employers and disabled people across all job sectors.

Our core business is to provide an holistic, client-centred, approach in every aspect of the unique nature of our operation.

As a job seeker you can rely on us to provide a single point of contact within a comfortable, accessible working environment, and flexible, responsive, professional user-led services run by disabled people for disabled people.

GCIL(/We) will support you in building a criteria-matching CV - which will ensure that prospective employers can recognise your skills and personal attributes from the onset. We will provide training & support to further develop your interviewing skills - and provide you with advice on how to respond to some of the more challenging questions during an interview. We will also ensure that you are given feedback to all applications made on your behalf, and support you with each response.

In addition, we will help you secure Access to Work funding for workplace adjustments and any specialist equipment you may need; give support to ensure that your new employer provides a safe and suitable environment for you to work within and that all "best practice" procedures are put into place. We will also ensure that Welfare Benefits and Work Tax Credits Assessments are carried out (where necessary) in preparation for you to either move into work or change direction.

Be assured that, should you wish to discuss delicate matters relating to barriers being faced and/or current situations to be addressed, our internal and external teams/services can supply confidential support and advice through :-

  • Inclusive Living Advisors
  • Direct Payment Advisors
  • Specialised services partner
  • Training partners
  • Supported employment projects for ILM and Housing graduate candidates

Most of all GCIL exists to provide disabled people with the support and advice needed to remove barriers that affect their lives on a daily basis.
